Rubberwood collection
Rubberwood comes from the rubber tree. These trees are cultivated primarily for their latex sap, which is used for products like latex mattresses. The trees produce sap/rubber for about 20 years. After 20 years, the trees have a diameter of approximately 20/25 cm, which is too small for cutting planks. Therefore, the wood is cut into blocks, which are then used to create panel material through gluing and finger-jointing the blocks.
This process gives the wood a beautifully varied character. The different hardnesses and textures of the blocks result in a strong and unique panel material.
What a stunning piece this Cooper bedside table is! We are so pleased with it.
It’s super stylish next to the bed, but also a beauty in the living room or hallway.
We love it :-)
